Beaches of the Costa Brava.

The translation of Costa Brava is 'wild coast'. 
This part of the Spanish coast is indeed well known for its jagged rocks, but you will also find many lovely bays and small beaches (some you can only reach by boat), long stretched beaches with beautiful boulevards and fine sandy beaches where the beach ends in light slope the sea, ideal for families with small kinderen.You find at almost every beach a wide range of water sports, for beach lovers the Costa Brava is a real paradise.

The seawater in the Costa Brava is generally very bright and clean. At various beaches, the water quality is intensively monitored and as it has been found well they become a blue flag. On the website of Blue Flag you can look which beaches at the Costa Brava have been assigned a blue flag. http://www.blueflag.org/  
Access to the many small bays is sometimes only possible through the winding coastal route the “Cami de Ronda ". Previously this route was used by smugglers. The track is well maintained, very varied, with small steps, narrow tunnels and spectacular views. Especiallly children find a walk on the "robber route" awesome.

Follow the path and choose one of the many small beaches (sometimes only large enough for a few people),for a pleasant picnic, for swimming or snorkeling or just enjoy the sun, the sea and the view .

Canyelles petites - Costa Brava (Rosas) 
The sandy beach is 315 meter long and 28 meter wide.

Sa Riera - Costa Brava (Begur) 
This sandy beach is 180 meter long and 30 meter wide. kiosks, restaurants, parking, showers and disabled access.

Canadell - Costa Brava (Calella de Palafrugell) 
This sandy beach is 250 meter long and 25 meter wide. restaurants, showers, boulevard.

La Fosca - Costa Brava (Palamós) 
This fine sandy beach is 500 meter long and 42 meter wide. Idelaal forsmall children, kiosks,

parking, rental chairs, umbrella rentals, showers, toilets. Dogs are prohibited on this beach. 
  
Cala Rovira - Costa Brava (Platja d'Aro) 
This sandy beach is 400 meter long and 30 meter breed.kiosken, parking, rental chairs, umbrella rentals, showers, disabled access and toilets. 
  
Sa Conca - Costa Brava (Platja d'Aro) 
This sandy beach is 400 meter long and 40 meter wide. kiosks, showers, toilets and parking.

Es Monestri – Costa Brava ( Sant Antoni de Calonge)

This sandy beach borders to Palamos. Here we find the only real Catalonian sealingclub of Catalonië. Parking, first-aid, lifeguard, toilets, showers, dogs are prohibited.

 

Sant Antoni de Calonge

This sandy beach is the longest in the village and is situated between the beaches "Es Monestri"

and "Torre Valentina. In the summer a lot of activities organized by the local authority.

The boulevard of Sant Antoni de Calonge streches out till Palamos

Disabled access, showers, toilets, dogs are prohibited

 

Torre Valentina – Costa Brava ( Sant Antoni de Calonge)

A wide sandy beach with a medieval tower which has given this beach his name.

Suitable for families with small children, beach-football,waterskiing, sailing, diving,

parking, lifeguard, showers, toilets, dogs are prohibited

Platja d'Aro - Costa Brava (Platja d'Aro) 
This sandy beach is 2400 meter long and 60 meter wide. restaurants,parking, rental chairs,

umbrella rentals, showers, rubbish bins, a boulevard and access for the disabled.

Sant Feliu de Guixols - Costa Brava (Sant Feliu de Guixols) 
This sandy beach is 400 meter long and 30 meter wide. restaurants, parking, rental chairs, umbrella rentals, showers, rubbish bins, a boulevard, toilets and disabled access.

Menuda La Mar - Costa Brava (Tossa de Mar) 
This sandy beach is 180 meter long and 20 meter wide. restaurants, parking, rental chairs, umbrella rentals, showers, rubbish bins, disabled access and a boulevard.

Blanes - Costa Brava (Blanes) 
This sandy beach is 625 meter long and 30 meter wide. kiosks, restaurants, parking, rental chairs, umbrella rentals, showers, a boulevard, toilets and disabled access.

Sant Francesc - Costa Brava (Blanes) 
This sandy beach is 220 meter long and 35 meter wide. rental chairs, parasol hire, parking, kiosks, showers and a boulevard.
