What to do in the Costa Brava.

In the Costa Brava there are many fun things to do for every age group. Of course there are enough coastal watersports such as sailing, kite surfing, diving and kayaking. But you can also mountain biking starting in Sta. Christina d'Aro in Baix Emporda. There are even various cycling options in Barcelona. Discover this beautiful city by bike accompanied by a guide.

The district has an extensive networke of horse-riding centers with courses for beginners or advanced and guided excursions.

Baix Empordą is an ideal place for hiking. The district is served by a well-structured and signposted network of paths(370 km) so that visitors can explore the land from north to south and from east to west, passing within a short time from the most secluded bays to the most delightful woods, or from the main towns to the most out-of-the-way and peaceful little villages.

At the Costa Brava you can play golf all year round because of the pleasant climate with average temperatures of 12 °C in winter and 18 °C in summer. Surrounded by pine trees, with in the distance the sound of the waves or a glimpse the blue horizon. There are 9 quality golf courses within a 40 kilometer radius.

The countryside of the Girona region is an ideal place for the traditional activities of hunting and fishing. A licence is required for both sports.

For nature lovers there are several nature parks and botanical gardens.

But there are also a lot of cultural things to undertake like the many musea ( Dali, Picasso), Barcelona ( Gaudi, Sagrada familia) archaeological sites (empuries), old cities ( Girona, Tossa de Mar ), monasteries ( Sant Pere de Rodes ) a.s.o .

For the younger ones: right in the heart of Platja d'Aro you find one of the three waterparks on the Costa Brava (the other two are at Roses and Lloret de Mar). Aquadiver Waterpark Costa Brava at Playa D'Aro is a big one, with a choice of water rides, pools, water play areas for the tots and restaurants and services all on-site.

Located in Santa Susanna, Barcelona, there is an adventure park where participants can practice activities such as archery, three climbing, woodland courses, quad bikes and paintball with qualified instructors, there is also a mountain bike centre.
